Just a little something I was thinking about this morning

So who are we…

We are a family that prays. We are people who don’t care about not having nice things. We enjoy the things that we do have. Our things do not define who we are. Jesus, our Lord and Savior, is what defines us. Without Him, we are all nothing. When we do things that are pleasing to Him, He will bless us. Now that doesn’t mean material things or money. What it does mean is that He blesses us with things that we need. He blesses us with ways to make Him and us happy. He doesn’t want us to be satisfied with or just surviving life. He wants us thriving, living, and glorifying Him.

Take these posts I have done already for example. As long as I keep Jesus in the center of all I write and of all I do. He will bless me. Again don’t mistake what I am trying to write. When I say He will bless me, it’s not going to mean that he will make me rich or give me all these subscribers. What He will do is bless me with joy and peace from touching peoples lives from the inside. It won’t matter if it’s just 1 person’s life or a whole bunch of people.

I’ve seen people like to use certain passages from the bible to suit their own needs and wants. They take them out of context and it becomes very dangerous even though they may not know it. I have a lot of friends and acquaintances that can’t stop talking about this 1 book and movie. They tell everyone that in order to get ahead and in order to get what you want out of like that you need to read or watch this. Or that you need to get your vision board in place or else you won’t work to achieve it.  The law of attraction is dangerous. It may not seem like it because they are obtaining what they put on those boards, but in the end, when they are gone from this world they will see just how dangerous it was. It is almost like it’s their “Bible”.

Overall, it is difficult to really get through by yourself. But when you have Jesus you can get through anything.

For us, He is our Rock that we stand on. He is our guidance even when times are tough.

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength” Deuteronomy 6:5
